Why should I become a Geopark Supporter?
Becoming a Geopark Supporter is an opportunity to show your backing for the Geopark and our aim of gaining UNESCO status for the island. By signing up you will make a real difference by ensuring that the Geopark is seen and understood. Importantly, you will help to demonstrate that the wider island community supports our vision. You will also receive:
- Concise email updates and early notification of Geopark events;
- Your business listed on our website; and
- Your leaflets or other promotional material displayed at our Lochranza information centre.
Supporters of Arran aspiring UNESCO Global Geopark must meet, or be working towards, the following criteria:
- Raise awareness of Arran Geopark
- Conserve the island’s natural resources
- Promote and use local produce
- Develop knowledge and understanding
- Contribute to the well-being of the island
- Support the UN Sustainable Development Goals
